The Association for Forests, Development and Conservation (AFDC) Reforestation Event
4/27/2009
The Association for Forests, Development and Conservation (AFDC) implemented a reforestation event to thank every one who participated in the MEET Program that was held in January 2009 in Alexandria Egypt, especially the Beyster Institute and MEPI for all their efforts in making the MEET program a life learning experience.

This goodwill initiative comes within the framework of supporting the national campaign “Don’t distort your nature” that was launched by AFDC and that aims at conserving and protecting Lebanon’s forests.

As such a reforestation event took place in Ramlieh mountain side reforesting over 75 pine trees in the name of AFDC and Beyster Institute and MEPI the reforestation was implemented by 27 students from USEK university, almost the same number of participants and trainers as the MEET program.

The event was characterized by motivation and collaboration among all the members which proves once again that the environment protection is the responsibility of all. The event ended with the positioning of a commemorative sign on site.
